ORIENTAL MARTIAL ARTS COLLEGE and GRANDMASTER JOON PYO CHOI

Moogong Ryu was founded in Korea in 1963 by Master Joon Pyo Choi and moved to the United States in 1971; the world headquarters martial arts school was located in Columbus Ohio in 1972. Senior Grandmaster Choi (now Kukkiwon 9th Dan certified) has studied multiple martial arts including Taekwondo, Hapkido, Gumdo, Karate, Judo and Kimoodo Healing Arts for over 50 years. The Moogong Ryu system offers holistic life skills focused on helping students to grow continuously as human beings. Over the years, Grandmaster Choi has trained over 20,000 students and produced over 20 national champions, world champions, and Olympic winners. He served as a coach for the USA Taekwondo team for the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

The extent of human potential has yet to be fully discovered. Our aim has always been one of self-improvement and we will offer a process for restoring balance to life. We provide a guide that can apply to everyday lives thereby changing the human equation.

THE HOLISTIC APPROACH
OMAC’s MOOGONGRYU is a holistic martial art based on Taekwondo and incorporated the benefits of other martial arts such as Karate, Kung Fu, Hapkido and Kimoodo healing art. We designed it to educate our students in life skills for attaining balance in their lives.
WORLDWIDE BRANCHES
We are an organization with branches around the World including Germany, England, Korea, and Canada. OMAC has nine martial arts branches in Columbus and Central Ohio.
